Services
Beehive Therapy is a private clinic, offering speech-language pathology services for children and adults. At Beehive, we are dedicated to helping children and adults with communication difficulties. Our qualified clinicians can provide you with an assessment, individual therapy, pair or group therapy.
We offer standardized and criterion-referenced (i.e. norm-based) communication assessments. The assessment results then determine therapy recommendations (such as consultation with an existing behavioural therapy team, individual and/or group therapy). We are a play-based clinic, and use our wide knowledge of a variety of approaches to make sure each client's intervention is right for them, and the intervention changes as the client's needs change.
We are team-oriented and often collaborate with behavioural consultants, behavioural interventionists, psychologists, occupational therapists and daycare staff/teachers. We also work with parents/families to provide information on how to help your loved ones communicate at home.
We assess, diagnose and provide intervention for communication disorders in the following areas:

Our Policies
Please be aware of our Cancellation & Illness Policies
Cancellation Policy
Appointment times are reserved for individual clients. Our waitlist is long, and a late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapist’s day that could have been filled by another client. As such, we require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment.
Patients who provide less than 24 hours of notice will be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of the session cost.
Cancellations made with less than 1 hour of notice will be charged the full session fee.
Repeated cancellations may result in withdrawal of service and a return to the waitlist until attending regular therapy is possible.
Illness Policy
In addition to any Covid-19 restrictions, clients must not come to their session if they have experienced any of the following symptoms in the last 24 hours:
-
Fever
-
Vomiting
-
Diarrhea
This helps all of our clients avoid extra illnesses, and is especially important for the medically fragile children we see.
